AdDuplex Windows Phone Device Statistics Report for December, 2015

The last Windows Phone statistics report of this year shows us continuation of the trend of recents months as the Microsoft made Lumias (the 535, 640 and 435) having the largest growth. However Lumia 520 still haven’t moved from leaders position and is the most popular device worldwide.

This is also the first month where Lumia 950 and 950XL have shown up in our stats after going on sale. Globaly the 950 is more popular than the 950XL but it is not the case in all countries.

In addition to the US we look in detail at the device in use in United Kingdom, France, Russia, Australia and India.

The big global trend this month is the continued growth in popularity of the Lumia 640 and 640XL. Lumia 520 continues to be the most popular device in use worldwide but its popularity continues to decline.

We look in detail at the US, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Italy and Turkey.

We continue to see the Microsoft Lumias (the 535, 640 and 435) having the largest growth. However, while it’s popularity continues to decline, Lumia 520 is still the most popular device in use worldwide.

This month we look in detail at the US, EU5 (Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Great Britain), Poland, Russia, Australia and India. Additionally we listed how device usage varies across markets when broken down into high-end, mid-range and low-end devices.

The popularity of the Lumia 520 continued to slide during the month of September and the Lumia 640 shows the largest growth in market share.

Together with the usual worldwide and United States Windows Phone device stats we also look in detail at Canada, United Kingdom, Spain, Poland, Nigeria and India.

Moreover, we’ve uncovered a couple of new devices in our data.

The Lumia 520 is still the most popular device worldwide but the 630 and 635 together are also very popular. Microsoft’s Lumia 435, 640 and 640 XL have made a noticeable presence in a number of markets.

This report is based on data collected from 5,331 Windows Phone apps running AdDuplex SDK v.2 (and higher). The raw data analyzed was collected over the day of July 22nd, 2015 (UTC time) unless otherwise stated.

This month see the trends for the last few months continuing to play out. The Lumia 520 continues to remain the post popular device but it still losing market share while the 630 and 535 are gaining.

We see a surprising increase in the number of devices already running Windows 10.

Plus we look at Mexico, UK, Finland, Spain, Russia, India and Australia.

Globally, this month has seen a continuation of the trend for a drop in market share for the Lumia 520 but it still remaining the most popular device. The Lumia 630 also continues to gain market share as the second most popular device.
