When I decided to start AppBizDev podcast I was determined to release the first episode as quickly as possible before I changed my mind. I thought I’ll do it as an MVP (minimum viable product) to test the waters (and catch a lead host) and I didn’t want to spend a day looking for a jingle music for it.
I always wanted to be a musician (even though I have no skills whatsoever) and I had periods in my life when I tried to experiment in that area. And that’s what I’m going to do when I make my $100 million and retire. So, I had several files from these experiments on my disk and only one of them even remotely reminded something that could be a theme music for a podcast. That’s what I used and that is what you hear on all 3 of the episodes out there. Btw, the latest one with guest Gergely Orosz and Simon Jackson was just released.
Unfortunately that music scares Ryan Lowdermilk’s (from the Windows Developer Show) children. And I can’t let these children suffer. So, I decided to change that music.
And then I thought that rather than looking for some “stock” tunes, I could ask Windows Phone and Windows 8 developers slash hobbyist (or even pro) musicians for help. And one unique reward I can give them for their great music is a 1,000,000 impressions for their apps (or even web sites, it’s up to you) on the AdDuplex network. (almost a $1000 value)
So here’s the deal: if you think you have a tune (or can write a special one) that you own completely (no unlicensed samples, etc.) and you think it could make a great jingle for AppBizDev podcast, please, send a link to it to feedback@appbizdev.com. If we choose your music you will get 1 million impressions and full credit on the AppBizDev site.
