AdDuplex Windows Phone Statistics Report for September 2013

It’s time for the September installment of our Windows Phone statistics report. We cover the continuing rise of Lumia 520, unveil a new number 2 Windows Phone in US and check the progress of Windows Phone 8 compared to its predecessor. Read on to find out more.

Data source

This report is based on data collected from 1,242 Windows Phone apps running AdDuplex SDK v.2. The raw data analyzed was collected over the day of September 20th, 2013 (UTC time) unless otherwise stated. We have made every attempt to consolidate different reported phone model names under their canonical retail model names, but it is possible that some of the rare model name variations were not accounted for.

Worldwide stats

Nokia Lumia 520 continues cementing its domination. It crossed the 20% mark overall and 30% if we only count the Windows Phone 8 devices. But other than that there are no notable changes in the top 10.

Updated Beta Versions for Windows 8 SDKs (both WinJS and C#/XAML)

We have just published updated versions of our HTML/JavaScript and XAML/C# SDKs for Windows Store apps. Both kits are at version now.

The main change in the WinJS SDK is that an issue with WACK certification has been fixed.

As for XAML/C#, there was an issue with app that used previous version of the SDK crashing after update. It has been fixed in this release.

You can get the updated version of the WinJS SDK from our download page.

XAML/C# SDK is available through nuget.

Please consider that both SDKs are still in beta and make sure that you’ve tested your app with the SDK thoroughly before submitting it to the Store. In case you encounter any issues, we would appreciate if you could report them to

HTML/JS SDK for Windows Store Apps – Public Beta

I’m happy to announce that after quite some time in development and a month in closed beta we have finally released a public beta version of our SDK for HTML/JavaScript based Windows Store apps.

The SDK is distributed as a Visual Studio Extension but we didn’t submit it to the Visual Studio Gallery just yet (while in beta). You can download it from the Download section of our client area. And you can find instructions on how to implement it into your app on the Documentation page.

We hope that we managed to deal with the most common issues during the closed beta, but it’s still a beta, so we encourage you to try it and use it in production, but be sure to test your app thoroughly before submitting it to the Store.

If you discover any issues or have questions please do not hesitate to send them our way to

And if you do use it in production we will bump up the exchange ratio for your app to 0.85 (normally 0.8) as a symbol of our gratitude.

Thank you for using AdDuplex and best of luck with your awesome apps and games!
