Greet your developer friends with AdDuplex Gift Cards!

Holidays are coming! Yes, I know we’ve missed Hanukkah. Sorry about that!

Anyway, we thought: what would be the best symbolic gift for a fellow app developer? And the obvious answer was – exposure for their app. So we decided to create some gift cards (coupons) that you can send to your fellow app developers. Or ask your friends to send one to you. Or maybe even buy one for yourself? :)

We’ve created 3 types of coupons:

  1. $15 coupon that will add $20 and 5,000 run of network impressions to your friend’s account. There are volume discounts on this one too.
  2. $50 coupon adds $60 and 20,000 impressions
  3. $100 coupon buys you $200 and 100,000 impression credits.

Hopefully this saves you a lot of time and effort and makes your developer friends happy!

Happy Holidays!

AdDuplex Windows 8/RT Device Stats – December 2012

We’ve got a lot of requests for updates on our last month report which showed Surface as the most popular Windows 8/RT device by far. And we are happy to oblige.

Data Source

The bellow stats are based on data collected from 71 active Windows 8/RT apps on AdDuplex network over the day of December 7th, 2012.

Devices – Surface still in the lead

Surface is still the most popular device, but its lead is not as stunning as it was last month – down 5% to 6% overall this month. It’s followed by 3 inexpensive notebook models from HP. Surface’s direct competitor – ASUS VivoTab RT is at #8 with 1%.

Updates to our Windows Phone SDKs

Several issues were reported in our Windows Phone SDKs (both for WP 7.5 and 8) and we are releasing a quick fix. New versions and address an issue when ArgumentException was occasionally thrown by the ad control. Another issue with control trying to load an ad even when collapsed was fixed.

As usual the new controls are available via nuget.

AdDuplex Windows Phone November 2012 Stats

We’ve been posting Windows Phone usage stats for quite some time now, but the last post got a lot of media attention starting with specialized sites and ending with the likes of CBS News, Los Angeles Times and other mainstream media. So we’ve decided to do these reports periodically and put a little more work and thought into them.

We’ve also decided to separate Windows Phone and Windows 8/RT reports. So this report covers the Windows Phone stats we found interesting.

Data Source

Most of the stats in this report are based on a single day usage data from Windows Phone apps using AdDuplex SDK. The day covered in this report is November 30th, 2012. Countries chart is based on the whole month of November and due to internal technical limitations reflects the number of impressions served to users (rather than users themselves). Device and OS related stats are collected from apps using v.2 of AdDuplex SDK. There were 136 of such apps at the time data was collected. All other stats are based on data from more than 2,000 apps on the AdDuplex network.

Most Popular Windows Phone Devices

Nokia claims the first 4 spots in the most popular device list with Lumia 710 being the most popular Windows Phone out there. Lumia 920 is already at #6 with 3%. In case you are a fan of HTC 8X and wondering where it is in this chart, it’s at #20.

Monday, December 3, 2012

It was only 3 months ago that we’ve passed a 100 million monthly impressions mark. It took us almost 20 months to get to the first 100 million. And I’m happy to report that we have crossed 200 million in November.

Thank you all for using AdDuplex and we hope userbases of your apps grow as fast (or even faster) as our impressions!
